The multi sound and video installation Tomorrow, Today Will Be Yesterday by Rui Almeida will be part of the Light Moves festival in Limerick, Ireland. The installation randomly pairs sound pieces from numerous composers with video clips. With the images presented randomly, the suggestion is to explore the way that sounds shape visuals and vice-versa.

White Shred/Black Shred scores selected for AFTERSOUND

The scores for White Shred and Black Shred will be exhibited as part of the AFTERSOUND: FREQUENCY, ATTACK, RETURN exhibition at Carnegie Melon University curated by Melissa Ragona and Margaret Cox. Here are some words about the exhibition from the curators: Sound has entered contemporary art in profound and unexpected ways. This exhibition explores sound’s infiltration into contemporary discussions of aural and visual culture, with a particular focus on sound visualization, the physics of sound, political uses of sound, i.e. sonic warfare and DIY, as well as the resurgence of neo-metaphysical experiments with sound as a portal to new sensory experiences.

Alarming is piece of the day for 9/17

Radio Village Nomad has ALARMING as their piece of the day for September 17th.

Radio Village Nomade is a virtual space created to hold the sound experiences of us all.

The aim of this project is to cultivate works out of sounds which were designed without the intent to distinguish themselves from others, sounds that highlight the ever changing moments that make up our collective realities.

Each day's piece will be a "window" into a life and sound world different than our own.
